Welcome to my Art Blog, I had this thought in my mind since quite some time now which I am finally making right now! Through this blog I’ll be updating my progress and journey of art with you… so sit back and relax.

The girl I never met

Okay than, let’s start with my best work ( is it? )… well you decide because there is always room for more creativity.

But why did I sketch her? Well there is no specific reason which you would expect 👀 but you see, at times we do get a craving to make something ( it is not necessary we always sketch out of blue ) just like wanting to have your favourite ice-cream at 2 a.m 😅

Though I was experimenting at this time and wondering whether to sketch or paint. Yes, I do paint too! Many of my friends do have this misconception that an artist can only do one thing. I mean they do have a speciality but yeah we can multi-task at times 😉.

Not only portraits but I also like doodling a lot, like cartoons or fictional characters and if you will scroll down, you can find them along with my paintings too!

I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I enjoyed creating it. And remember, art is a beautiful journey, not a destination.

The one where Shrey tries shading Hardcore

Wait, let me explain about this sketch now and please don’t misinterpret, as-in this isn’t any anime character because I don’t watch anime ( Sorry to anime lovers 🙃 ) and nothing disrespectful. I was learning shading back than and I found a reference so I made this from that.

A fun fact about me is that I hated shading as a kid because of course it is difficult for some to shade and me too, but there was this one person in my school who could do that effortlessly, so for our class pin boards I used to sketch and she would fill shade in it.

Though over the years I’ve overcame this fear, but it is still difficult to shade but it comes naturally if you practice enough and infact I enjoy shading now.

<aside> 💡 Tip: To shade properly, don’t think that you would need a complete set of pencils (I mean of course you’d once you reach at a certain stage) but it’s really just about how you put pressure on your normal pencil/pen.

<aside> 📢 Now that you’ve come this far there's a surprise for you, I am a PotterHead and if you’re too than hang tight because I’ve made few Harry Potter characters’ sketches like- Harry, Hagrid, Prof. McGonagall, Prof. Snap, etc.

The one where I learned a lot about paint mixing

Now as I said I do paint too right so here is one them. In fact I started getting interest in art through painting, but than since I never took any class for art, it was difficult to experiment with paints because they were expensive back then and you know how much art-supplies costs?

This painting shows my love for the color- green , I mean how calm and soothing is green, even its shaded are awesome. Along with it what I wanted was to showcase a lone tree which in a clear weather is standing tall while the one behind has shed its leaves. As you can feel that there are mountains, brown soil and grasses around the tree but than there are also Dandelions below.

I have another painting which you find if you scroll down further, trust me you have to check that too because it takes me a lot of time to paint compared to sketching which is weird because it should be the other way around.

So as promised these are all the characters I made from Harry Potter. See I was never a potterhead as a kid, it was only until when I turned 17 when I saw its first part (the movie), but I feel I should have started off by reading its books first but nm.

I’m almost 21 now and with that I’ve completed Philosopher’s stone and Chamber of secrets, currently on the Prisoner of Askaban. See I don't get much time so that's why I’m this slow.

My favourite part in the entire Harry Potter is of course the conversation between Snap and Prof. Dumbledore which Harry sees in the Pensieve, but one of the most underrated part is when in the end Neville Longbottom fights and confronts to ‘He who must not be named’, which was pretty impressive and brave of him!
